Local Producers Now Invited to Attend!

Sunday 4th July sees the first Surrey Food Festival at the top of Dorking’s Box Hill, which will be FREE to all Visitors.

This is a Partnership between the National Trust, Surrey Gourmet Catering and local producers.

All local producers are now being invited to book a place by downloading the booking form at the Festival Web Site at:
www.Local2Home.co.uk or calling Sarah on (01306) 885502

As an Incentive, all Stall Holders will have Free Parking, a Free Surrey Picnic Hamper Lunch for two and continuous tea and coffee plus a FREE Entry in the Festival leaflet and an FREE Entry on the Festival Web Site - www.Local2Home.co.uk

Rather than being “just another Farmer’s Market”, the concept of the Surrey Produce Festival 2010 is to
SEE – TASTE - SELL
All stallholders will need to embrace this Theme, so stallholders are therefore being asked to bring things for Visitors to SEE or be shown. This could be raw ingredients, traditional tools to make your product, the processes you use, and so on. Also stallholders should bring samples for visitors to TASTE and importantly their product to SELL.

There will be a series of demonstrations including local Surrey Chef Tom Turvill who will, in the morning, be showing how various cuts of Surrey Lamb can be used at home, and in the afternoon he will be working with Surrey Pork. Tom will also be showing how to cook these cuts, with plenty of opportunity for Visitors to Taste Real Surrey Food and obtain recipe ideas!

There will be plenty of Food to Taste and Buy, so Visitors can come for Lunch and make a day of it!
